Interestingly Different is a Nickel Support enterprise, whereby trainees with learning disabilities run, manage and work on several different micro businesses. Any profits these generate go directly towards paying the adults with learning disabilities who work on them a wage.
The micro businesses are designed to embrace the skills and talents of the trainees with learning disabilities who work on them.
Nickel Support is a not-for-profit community interest company supporting adults with learning disabilities to develop skills and confidence, with a focus on employment.
The mission is to get more people with learning disabilities into paid employment.
We are also passionate about the environment, and all our micro businesses under the
Interestingly Different banner have a positive environmental impact. From rescuing old furniture from the dump and giving it a new life, through to saving wonky fruit & veg, we care what happens to our planet and this underpins everything we do.
